Venice has several beaches on Venice Island, all open to the public, and all right on the gulf.

There's the main Venice Public beach at the end of Venice Avenue.   That beach has the wing shaped beach pavilion and small cafe.  Also restrooms and showers.  There's two parking lots, and rarely are they full.

The white sandy beach runs about two miles long an except on July 4th, the beach is rarely crowded.

At the north end of Venice Island is Jetty park, where you'll find the jetty that runs along where the intracoastal dumps into the gulf.

The jetty park is a favorite among people who like to fish from the jetty banks, and people who like to watch the boats going in and out of the jetty all day.

Further south down the beach are 5 additional beach parks - including Sharkey's, where you'll find the fishing pier - which is open 24 hours a day and always free to the public.
